What kind of memory does the K100D Super use for storage?
The K100D Super uses Secure Digital (SD memory) cards.
Which SD memory cards May be used?
You should be able to use any SD card in your camera. While Pentax does not guarantee
compatibility with any particular manufacturer or model, we have seen consistent
compatibility with SD cards from Panasonic (32 / 64 / 128 / 256 / 512MB / 1GB),
SanDisk (32 / 64 / 128 / 256 / 512MB / 1GB), and
Toshiba (32 / 64 / 128 / 256 / 512MB/1GB)
Can a MMC (Multi-media card) be used with *istDL?
No
Does the performance of the SD memory card influence a shooting interval?
Using a SD memory card with a slow recording speed may influence the number of images captured in the continuous shooting mode.
Can the brightness of LCD monitor be adjusted?
Yes
Can I view images on a television?
Yes. By using the AV cable (I-AVC28), you May capture and play back images on a TV that has a
Video-In port.
Note: Make sure that both the TV and the camera are turned off before connecting the cable.
Can all PENTAX 35mm interchangeable lenses be used with the K100D Super?
Yes, however there are restrictions when using lenses other than DA, D FA, FA, FA J series lenses. When using D FA or FA lenses the aperture ring must be set to the A (auto) position. A-series lenses are manual focus only. Lenses without the A (auto position) require the user to set the custom function to use non-A position lens. These lenses also lack the contacts to make full use of the 16 segment metering system.
Can PENTAX 645 lenses, 67 lenses and S (Screw mount) lenses be used with K100D Super?
PENTAX 645, 67-system lenses and S (Screw mount) type of lenses may be used with an adapter, though some functions may not be available with certain lenses.
What happens when the aperture ring is set other than (Auto) position?
The camera operates in AV (Aperture Priority) mode even if the mode dial is at P or AV when the
aperture is set to a value other than A
Can non-PENTAX interchangeable lens be used?
Not recommended, we assume no responsibility or liability for damage resulting from the use of
lenses made by other manufactures.
